Privacy policy

Effective October 31, 2026. Nookfern Player is operated by an individual using the public name lengfengng. For privacy questions or requests, contact support@aup.asia.

Playback on your Mac

Your media files and playback history stay on your Mac. Nookfern Player does not automatically upload them.

Local diagnostic log

The app keeps a bounded local log of technical events, such as playback and audio output status, error codes and Keychain operation results. It excludes media names and paths, media content, email addresses, device identifiers, license keys and access tokens. It retains up to 200 events; events older than seven days are removed when recording resumes, and are always excluded from copied reports. If the app remains closed, an existing local file may remain until the next recording. In Settings → Feedback, you can copy a recent report containing app and system versions and choose to include it in a message. Reports are not automatically uploaded or attached.

Trial and licensing

To register a trial, activate a license or check its status, the app contacts our licensing service. It sends a product-specific device identifier, a device public key and signed requests. The service stores trial and activation records, license information and a hash of the license key. When you enter a license key, it is sent to our service for verification with Creem. Device key recovery data and signed authorization are stored in your Mac's Keychain.

Purchases

Creem handles checkout and payments as merchant of record. It collects the information needed to process your order and sends a receipt and license key. Our service verifies the order and license with Creem. See Creem's privacy policy for its handling of your information.

Feedback and support

If you submit feedback, we receive your message, app version and optional reply email. Media files, playback history and logs are not automatically attached. Please do not send passwords or license keys. Handled feedback is kept for 12 calendar months after it was last handled; unhandled feedback remains until it is handled or removed in response to a request. If you email support, we use your message and contact information to respond. ImprovMX forwards support messages to our Gmail inbox, where we receive and respond to them.

Website, updates and service providers

When you visit the website or the app contacts our services for licensing or updates, the hosting and network providers may receive technical information such as your IP address and request details for delivery, security and troubleshooting. We use hosting providers and Creem to operate the service.

Retention and your choices

We retain licensing and trial records as needed to provide the service, enforce device limits, prevent trial resets and resolve disputes, subject to applicable law. Uninstalling the app does not automatically remove server records. Backups may contain copies of information after a deletion request, including when a backup is restored.

You may request access, correction or deletion where applicable by contacting support@aup.asia. We may need to verify your request and retain information where required by law or for legitimate service and security purposes.
