License terms

Effective November 2, 2026. Nookfern Player is operated by an individual using the public name lengfengng. The trial is available; purchasing is not yet available. These terms describe the trial and the planned purchased license.

Trial

The trial lasts 72 continuous hours from the initial online registration. It continues while the app is closed; playback requires activation after the trial ends.

Purchased license

A one-time purchase grants ongoing use of the purchased major version on up to three Macs at a time. Deactivate a Mac to transfer its place. Updates within the purchased major version are included; a later major version may require a separate purchase.

Connectivity

Activation requires internet access. After a successful license check, the paid app may be used offline for up to 14 days; after that it needs a successful online check to continue playback. Service outages or connectivity issues can affect verification.

Playback compatibility

Version 0.6.0 plays compatible MP4, MOV and M4V files, plus selected MKV, WebM, FLV and TS codec combinations described on the product page. Playback depends on the file, macOS and your hardware. Use the trial to check your own files before purchasing.

Third-party software

Version 0.6.0 includes Sparkle for updates under the MIT license and related notices. Full notices are included in the app and on the third-party notices page. These terms do not reduce rights granted by applicable third-party licenses, including rights for earlier releases where applicable.

Payment, refunds and support

Checkout and payment are handled by Creem as merchant of record, subject to its buyer terms. You can request a refund within 7 days of purchase by contacting support@aup.asia. Applicable consumer rights remain unaffected.
